GIve outstanding customer service by receiving and processing incoming and outgoing calls for directory assistance, patient location and other services as aPaging and Information Services Operator. Initiate appropriate responses for fire, weather, medical and other emergencies. Maintain and update computer databases such as staff directories, on-call assignments, and physician availability. Maintain records for all departmental transactions. Overtime required with the possibility of mandatory overtime. |
High School Diploma, GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent verbal communication and verbal skills. (English). Excellent telephone voice quality and technique. Possess excellent spelling and vocabulary skills. Typing skills. 1-3 years of customer service experience. Must be able to sit in front of a computer screen for long periods of time while assisting customers over the phone. Have a minimum of 2 years exeprience in a high volume call center. |
Knowledge of medical terminology. Working knowledge of Windows-based computer applications. 1-3 years experience in a healthcare organization. A working "wayfinding" knowledge of the hospitals. |
This position is 40 hours/week, Tuesday-Saturday, 3:30p-11:30p |
